Orphans No More (This is an awesome National Geographic article about rescuing orphaned baby elephants. It’s incredibly moving and I loved reading about the similarities between humans and elephants. This line was awesome: “With elephants you reap what you sow, and the way you get the most out of them is through love.” Sounds like human babies, no?)

The shocking first glimpses of the world through the mom’s-eye lens.

If it’s any consolation, those of us who’ve landed on the other end of the shoot with adult children remain testament to the weight of the issues you’re facing. Proof to me that women need each other as much as our children need us.
