(This is a guest post from Tifaine of Through My Lense. Looks delicious!)
Creating things in the kitchen with your kids can be a little hectic, it can push control freaks a little too close to the edge of their rope, BUT when it’s all said and done everyone has a blast. There is something about cooking with my kids that just brings out the “let go and let live” in me. I have found that when I let my kids into my our kitchen I am able to have fun while I cook, and it doesn’t feel like such a chore.
My kids recently made some cute little heart shaped sugar cookies together and they turned out so yummy. That’s saying a lot since I am not a sugar cookie lover.
Here is what you’ll need to get your kids cooking party started:
I didn’t let my kids mix the batter at first only because I wanted to make sure it got mixed completely. After the batter was completely mixed I let them get in there and let them add as many M&M’s to the batter as they wanted! Once they had it all mixed up it was time to start making hearts.
First I laid out some tinfoil onto a cookie sheet. Then we set the cookie cutter on the covered cookie sheet and filled it with batter. This method is MUCH easier then rolling them out. If your kids love playing with play-dough they will love creating these cookies!
The final results were some really delicious chocolaty sugary goodness! Easy Fast, and Fun! These cookies are a must for any family.
Have FUN and happy cookie making with your little ones!

wish could do this someday…:)
