This was one of the big reasons we moved back to Chicago: to be near my parents. To be able to drive up on a Friday night and spend a short but fun weekend with them. So that I could see them, of course, but also so that Adeline could see them. So that they could see Adeline.

We had a lovely and very busy weekend. We went to a petting zoo/farm, we went sailing, we went to the beach, we even went to a carnival. Adeline can’t stop talking about “Nana’s house”. Lucky for her, we’re going again in two weeks. It’s good to be home.
