Dear god. In fourteen years she’ll probably be thinking those things and not saying them to me and all the trouble will start.

Mine has a fascination with motorcycles, which would concern me more if I hadn’t been a rider myself in my youth. She doesn’t have enough words to say, “I wanna be naked!” yet, but I got a pretty clear “no diaper!” yesterday. A friend said to me last week that she thinks the first 12 years are hardest with boys and the second 12 years are hardest with girls.
That sounds about right. I know my sister (who has a 3.5 yo boy) is having a much harder time right now. I keep telling her that my struggles will come…
