Yes, that’s right, I’m doing an entire post about the fact that Adeline has now learned how to drink from a straw.  Now she gets to use one of those cool baby water bottles.  It’s a big deal, ok?!  What’s the point in having a mommy blog if you can’t ramble on about the minute accomplishments of your little one?  So here I go: I’m so excited that Adeline learned how to drink from a straw!  Yippee!!

She opens her mouth wide, bops her head into my face, and gives me the baby version of a kiss: the sloppiest, most wonderful kiss I’ve ever gotten.  She’s been giving me occasional, one-off kisses for awhile now.  But today we made some kind of kiss breakthrough: she started giving me kisses and just didn’t stop.  I laid on the ground and she crawled around me bopping her head into my face over and over.  Her open mouth was drooly and beautiful, covering me in baby spit.  By the end we were both sopping wet and laughing hysterically.  One of those moments that make it all worth it.
